Dawn

I lay on my bed, in deep sleep.

Slowly my eyes felt so warm, a prick.

It made me twitch my brows.

Slowly opening my eyes i saw at the window.

Mum "Nature" wide open with her arms.

Its Dawn.



Sitting on my bed for a while.

I glanced at the rays spearing through my window pane.

It was a new day, a new begining it seemed to me.

With new hopes in my mind.

For a Great new day.

It was dawn again.



I tip-toed on the carpet, basked in the sun rays.

To feel the warmth on every bit of my skin.

Awake, yet i was in a Dream.

The glowing Sun, out there.

Like a Fireball, trillions of miles away.

Glowing to give us a light, life and a Brand new day.



Standing on my Veranda, i stretch my arms.

Embracing the Fresh air.

So light and so fresh it felt.

The birds chirping their own tune.

The cock stepping on the barn to blare it melody,

Which awakes the rest.



The diamond dew shining and gleaming its glow.

On every petal of the sweet blossoms.

Giving them breath, fragrance, flawless beauty.

There on the trees are sprouting new leaves.

Becoming part of their humongous family.

They bask on the sun, with their surface so sheen.



As i sip my coffee, at this daybreak.

I realise the nature is all so accepting with its warm embrace.

Soon it will be full sun, with heat.

but this very moment of time, i enjoy.

Because its Dawn again.

　

P.S. cleaning my cupboard i came across this painting of mine which i had painted years ago. it was of a beautiful sunrise at a beach. so it made me write this poem. :)
